MORNINGSIDE
ICONIC AND WALKABLE
Established between 1918 and 1935, the Morningside neighborhood is well-known and well-loved. Its streets are tree-lined and its homes are the images of Southern charm. Most of the homes in the area are Craftsman, Four-Square, and Tudor-style – many have been renovated and even new builds fit the classic styles, maintaining a lovely aged aesthetic.
In addition to its architecture, Morningside is beloved for being one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Atlanta. It is home to the Morningside Nature Preserve and the Daniel Jonhson Nature Preserve. Both have beautiful trails that wind through natural green space. There is also a popular Community Garden that draws residents together. With all this activity and gardening, it’s fitting that many of the most celebrated farm-to-table restaurants and locally-owned bakeries have gotten their start in this vibrant community.
